I’m an enthusiastic fan of Nikon photographic products. Since I’ve got my first DSLR some years ago, photography resurrected in my life as a main hobby that unfortunately long ago went in stand-by when the Black & White film lost its popular position.

I invested lots of resources in Nikon gear, also in some third-party goodies, and I am fascinated by the quality and the output produced with the equipment I have. From the cheap kit lenses to the expensive professional glass, every product has its own flavor, value and place to work.

Since Nikon fed me with such as unique passion, I consider that in return I have to build this website, because I really live now in Nikon Planet and I want to spread the word out! I have to mention here that even though I love Nikon brand and products, I’m NOT affiliated with Nikon Corp in any way.

I’m not a pixel-peeper and I do not shoot brick walls. The philosophy behind this website is to offer ideas and suggestions about how various gear could be used at it’s best, helping people to look for the right camera or lenses, not to become glass collectors. Apart of this I want to offer news, tutorials, tips&tricks and various resources for beginners and not only and, possible, if that will become necessary in future, to add a discussion board for other Nikon lovers like myself.

If by the way you are looking for a place where to share your own reviews, articles, opinions and experience, Nikon Planet has enough space just contact me and I’ll create an account to let you start add content. The only condition is to be a Nikon enthusiast and to show brand fidelity! I do not mean that here is not a place to offer a proper and honest perspective – at least this is my aim, but I want a constructive perspective not a blaming one.

Last but not least… I speak English as a foreigner, a self-taught one. While I love accuracy and fluency, I know my limitations and I am sure that frequently I commit errors in my writings. Please give me some grace for this and help me to improve my English. Wherever you find inappropriate use or misspelled words, please leave a brief comment to let me correct and improve.
