Some of the most appreciated lenses in F mount are produced by Cosina under the Voigtlander brand name. All of them are manual focus, but sharing a great IQ and inheriting a dream build quality. I personally own three lenses from this family, the CV 20mm f/3.5 Color Skopar, the CV 40mm f/2 Ultron and the CV 58mm f/1.4 Nokton. You have to own one of these lenses to understand what means a great build quality – only the lenses from Zeiss family providing a similar feeling to someone using them.
I’m very happy that Cosina is continuing the process of bringing to life these old gems and now is working on a lens with the Heliar design, the Voigtländer SL II Heliar Classic 1,8/75mm which for sure would be a great portrait lens for many MFing fans. This new lens is supposing to have 9 diaphragm blades, a 58mm filter thread and weighting 415g.
I do not know what about you but I will add as soon as I will can this lens to my kit.

Hi,
Does anyone know when will this lens be on sale? I’ve checked Voigtländer’s webpage, but there’s no information about it. I’ve also found that Robert White, in the UK used to sell them, but he is out of stock right now (check here: http://www.robertwhite.co.uk/voigtlander-75mm-f-1-8-nokton-sl-ii-lens-nikon-fit.html )
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
